2. Website hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by DeinServerHost. When you access it, technical log data such as IP address, requested resource, date and time, referrer, browser information and response status may be processed to deliver and secure the service. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and reliable operation). Logs are retained only for as long as required for security, troubleshooting and legal obligations.

3. Essential cookies and sessions

We use technically necessary session cookies for security, sign-in flows and forms. They are not used for advertising or cross-site profiling. Their use is necessary to provide the requested service and protect it (Section 25(2) TDDDG; Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). No consent banner is required for these essential cookies alone.

4. Discord and staff services

Staff authentication and community functions use Discord. Depending on the feature, we process Discord user and guild IDs, usernames, server display names, avatars, banners, roles, channel information, member assignments, ticket messages and command/audit data. This is necessary to authenticate users, assign access, operate tickets and administer the community (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Discord also processes data under its own Privacy Policy.

5. DayZ, PlayStation and Nitrado data

To run the community servers, we process data contained in or derived from DayZ server logs, including PlayStation/ingame names, timestamps, connections, positions, combat events, deaths, statistics, moderation events and server activity. Nitrado service identifiers and access credentials are used to retrieve and manage server data. Processing supports server operation, moderation, abuse prevention, statistics, feeds and requested community features (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Nitrado processes data under its own Privacy Policy.

6. Factions, tickets and community submissions

Faction requests may include faction and leader names, selected server, armband and colour; a pseudonymised network identifier is used for abuse prevention and rate limiting. Support tickets, moderation records, bans, warnings, whitelist and priority-queue entries, account links and related audit records are stored where required to handle the request and protect the community (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

7. Support contributions and Tip4Serv

Digital in-game benefits are offered through Tip4Serv. We receive only the transaction, product, account and delivery information needed to verify a contribution and provide the selected benefit. Payment credentials are handled by Tip4Serv and its payment providers, not by this website. Tip4Serv acts under its own terms and privacy information. The legal basis for our processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and, for fraud prevention and records, Article 6(1)(f) and (c) GDPR.

8. Email

If you contact us by email, we process your email address, message and related correspondence to answer your request. Email is provided through Google. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual enquiries and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other support and community enquiries.

9. Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Account and operational data is generally retained while the relevant community relationship or account remains active. Security, moderation, audit, transaction and correspondence records may be retained longer where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims or meet statutory record-keeping duties. Data is then deleted or anonymised unless continued storage is legally required.

10. Recipients and international transfers

Data may be disclosed to hosting and infrastructure providers, Discord, Nitrado, Tip4Serv, Google and competent authorities where required. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In those cases the provider is responsible for an applicable transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

11. Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time for the future. You may also complain to a competent data protection supervisory authority. Contact ballsdeepcommunity@gmail.com to exercise your rights.

12. Changes

We may update this policy when our services or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page.
